Shark Diving, Sunshine Coast
If you are at the Sunshine Coast and you want to get a close encounter with a shark,
you should go to the “Underwater World” in Mooloolaba, where you can do some great
aquarium shark diving.
Brisbane is only about 100 kilometer away, so it is also close, if you are on vacation
there.
In the Underwater World aquarium you can dive with Grey Nurse Sharks (up to 2.5
meters large), Leopard Sharks, Whitetip Reef Sharks, Shovel Nosed Sharks, Whaler
Sharks and Wobbegongs Sharks.
Imagine observing all those fascinating shark species in one dive – without unpredictable
elements such as swells or low visibility that can cloud an ordinary ocean dive
experience
The shark dive in Mooloolaba is both for certified and non-certified divers. If
you have never dived before, you will be taught the basics of breathing underwater,
clearing your mask and how to communicate with your instructor all within the safety
of the pool.
The pre-dive instruction is very professional and will leave you feeling confident
with the diving aspect. So all you have to worry about then is the sharks!
