Shark Diving, UK
Yes, it is possible to do shark diving in UK.
But even though a Great White Shark has been seen close to Scotland, a shark dive
in UK will be in an aquarium.
There are two places for an aquarium shark diving in United Kingdom: in the “Blue
Planet Aquarium” in Cheshire, England and in the “Deep Sea World” in Fife, Scotland.
Both are more or less identical – except for the shark species.
In Cheshire you will face Sand Tiger Sharks, Lemon Sharks, Nurse Sharks and Bamboo
Sharks, while you will encounter Sand Tiger Sharks, Tope Sharks and Angel Sharks
in Fife.

Shark diving in Scotland in Fife
The program is almost the same both places: you will get a safety briefing and being
fitted your scuba equipment and dry suit, and then you will be heading to the training
pool. Here you will be taught how to use the breathing apparatus, how to clear your
mask and hand signals.
Then you are ready for what you came for – the shark diving. You will go into the
water with a fully qualified PADI dive instructor, who will show you all the amazing
shark species. And this is not a cage dive, so you will get ready close to the sharks.
You can even touch some of them.
Meanwhile your family and friends can take photos from outside the tank.
Finally you can have a shower before you pick up your certificate of attendance.

Shark dive, UK in Cheshire
As you maybe have noticed, you do not have to be a certified diver to do a shark
dive in the two aquariums. You just have to be at least 16 years and in normal physical
health. A medical form must be completed before taking part in the dive.
The price for the 2-3 hours experience (with 30-45 minutes dive) is £169 in Fife
and £209 in Cheshire. You will get a voucher that is valid for nine month. It is
recommended to book at least four weeks in advance.
Both shark dives can be booked through Exhilaration.
